Excuse me while I try and climb into the freezer...

The top temperature is outside and the bottom temperature is inside the house. It isn't even worth taking a shower to cool off, the cold water is hotter than the hot water. And there is a mean hot hot wind blowing outside, exactly like the gust that hits you when you open the oven door.

I don't really know what to do, it's probably even hotter on the beach. We'll probably spend the rest of the day sitting around in our underwear, spraying water onto ourselves and fighting about who gets to stand in front of the ventilator fan next.
Hows the weather where you are?

  1. Oh dear, isn't it sad today...
Can't believe that although we live in the same teeny tiny town, my Oregon device you nicely showed today marked a whopping 41,3 C° outside and 27,3 C° inside with a 22% humidity which THANK GOD was low. But contrary to you, I gathered all my energy and went by boat this morning and I am happy I did because the sea was wonderfully COOL! Whereas the scooter is unbearable, the wind is like a running hairdryer...

  5. It is 32 celicus with humidity it feels like 41. Last night we had thunderstorms, we sat on the deck drinking red wine and talking abou the trip to the Almafi coast we were going to take when we turn 45. Today there is sun, heat and humidity with more storms on their way tonight. I am at the office, but I know my car (without air) will be an oven when I get to the car park.
Are the Scirocco winds (spelling maybe off) blowing? My zio Ignazio called my sister he lives in Sicily he told her how Cefalu is burning and that he only goes out in the morning to get food and stays in all day long. I wish I could send you a PINGU air conditioner by Delonghi. Oh I forgot about your electric not being up to standards..take care

  7. Temps at 31c but heat index at 34c because of the humidity. "Air you can wear," as the saying goes. And hotter tomorrow so they say!

    Stay cool!

  8. It's about 23°c here, supposed to get up to about 28°c later today, but somehow i dont think that is going to happen. hmm and of course everyone here walks around complaining about how hot it is - and while im sure a few years ago i would have been doing the same - ive adjusted to warmer temps and more humidity so im all walking around thinking its a bit chilly. go figure.

  9. Temps were around 20 today but it's really only warm in the sun - the autumn winds are blowing and I'm not going out without a jacket.

  11. It's supposed to be about 36C here today...but we have virtually no humidity (I think only 10% today), so it's not bad. And our evenings cool off nicely.

  13. My answer would have been much more impressive last week as we had a class 3 hurricane in our midst! Happily today instead, on Maui it’s 29C and a bit cloudy, should make for an epic sunset.

This was the second heat wave after june. I don't remember such an hot summer. Scirocco is unbeareble when it blows hot. Ok we are almost in Africa but that's enough. I want fresh air, give me fresh air please.

  18. this is not my first summer in POsitano but, belive me, yesterday I think it has been the hottest day ever. No way of finding a relief. I had the brillant idea to go to Fornillo beach......o mine, the sand was burning, the beach overcrowded, the sea unbelievable hot.......

  20. Brisbane was about 23 today I think although it rained and was cold all last week which is actually pretty unusual for brisbane. I know how you feel though. That is what Brisbane is like over summer. No point in showering to cool off because by the time you dry off you are sweating again anyway. Don't worry... August is nearly over. xx
