In a park in Sorrento: Doggy poo zones. The sign has a cute little dog on it and says "I can do my business here!"

Pos security: No gates or security cameras needed to keep unwanted visitors away.

I seem to be rather distracted at the moment, planning trips away, experimenting in the kitchen, afternoons on the beach before the summer ends, overcoming my fear of wiggly lizards...
How about inspiring me? If there's something you always wanted to ask me or something you think I should write about leave me a comment and I'll most likely reply!

  1. I don't have a comment, but I'm actually going to cry at your "before the summer ends" comment...it has gotten as low as 10° here...jacket weather and long sleeves.

    :(

More info on your beauty biz?

  2. I was wondering how you and Carlo met? I did read all of your blog, it could be I missed some too! I often get distracted while I'm on the computer. Can you tell where I can find this wonderful story?

It's raining and yet I still saw the sunrise...so cool!

  3. The best question to ask you is how you picture your life in five years from now or ten years from now? I think you have a wonderful life as is. Do you really want a change? Grow your business, travel more, have another child, buy a house? The world is yours,Niki, take what you want.

  4. Hi NIki, I am Italian and ten years ago I spent 5 years in Paris. It was a great experience but there were some days when the sadness of being far from home and family was so strong that I only wanted to go back to my places.
I was wondering , have you ever had such moments while in Positano?
Have you ever thought your decision to move had been a mistake?
    Thanks a lot

  9. I agree with one of the comments: How did you meet Carlo? I like love stories!

Maybe, dos and don'ts about preparing to move and live in a small Italian town that you wish that you had known about before you moved. I am strongly considering moving to Italy within the next year.

Really, anything that you write has been enjoyable. Write what comes from your heart. I will still continue to read your blog!!!

  14. Hello Nicki.

Do you think you'll stay in Positano? Or have you thought about living somewhere else? :)

  15. I agree, I'd love to hear about you and Carlo. What did your friends and family think? What did his family think?

  16. More, please, of the less traveled path(s) of the Amalfi Coast. Also would love to see photos from new road trips like the one you made to Paestum if possible. Questions for you: Chocolate or ice cream? Guinness or Scotch? Boxers or briefs? And finally, 15 years from now, who will Poppy cheer for - England or Italy in a head-to-head match? But seriously, thanks for posting as often as you do.

  18. I think I'll take this chance to tell you that I absolutely love your blog and your style. I fell in love with Positano when my husband and I were there last October (a day like this, a year ago, I could have ran into you on the street). I second, or third, the love story. Does the nostalgia for England ever diminish? How do you fight it?
