Jellyfish alert

Best not to go paddling today...We've had an invasion:
They may be small but their sting BURNS like hell and leaves a nasty whip-mark on the skin. The sea is full of them at the moment, I took these photos just leaning over the edge of the pier.

  1. Uh oh! No swimming.
I just went through all the old posts to check what I missed since last September. It's always so lovely to read your posts, and pics are amazing. Especially Lila's.
    Glad you're back, really.

  3. Wow, brilliant photos and the sea is soooo clear!

We get the odd one on our coast here though I have never heard of anyone being stung 'yet'

    Have a lovely day,

  7. What a shame. Reminds me of the bluebottles at Sydney beaches. Ouch!

  9. wow, what beautiful pictures.. but definately no paddling... A 4ft Jellyfish washed up on the coast of Devon last month... but it only causes a mild rash... apparently...!

Love your soaps by the way... I was so close to buying some.. but I aught to wait till next month really..

  12. Ciao! Wow... what an unpleasant surprise! I haven't gone swimming yet in Amalfi this spring, but now I will do some serious investigating before I dive in! :-) Does this tend to happen this time of year here, or is it unusual?
