Trays of fresh alici waiting on the pier at sunrise this morning.
Tonight is the famous fish festival, one of the best festivals of the year. Hundreds of people will gather on the beach to eat fried anchovies, traditional squid and potatos, drink local rough red wine and dance to traditional neapolitan music.

  5. Why aren't we all there Anne??? That would be so great! The dancing and eating! I'm not sure I would like the anchovies unless they were on Pizza! PS watching the pier on webcam right now.

  9. That sounds like so much fun!

Funny to see people working with their shirts off when we're in the midst of autumnal colors and winds here...

    Have the best of times!
