Today everybody looked like cartoon characters. They were EVERYWHERE!
It was to celebrate the Epiphany, the day the Befana visits the children and leaves them a stocking (yes, another one, yes, so soon after Christmas. Although this is a bit more lighthearted...at least in my household. What the stockings are filled with depends on how good teh child has been in teh last year.
Once Skye had gone to bed we spent the night wrapping up onions, potatoes and empty sweet cartons to fill her stocking with. Lumps of coal are good too, but I didnt have any on hand. We did throw in a few chocolates and mandarins, as she hadn't been THAT bad, but the look on her face when she unwrappe potato after potato was priceless!
