Above Positano on All Hallows Eve...

On All Hallows Eve as the gloaming creeps into the day and turns the heavy skies orange, a Sugar skull girl plays by the side of a deep ravine. The scent of earthy loam and carob beans linger in the air as goblins whisper secrets to her from hiding places in the woods.
She seems to have not a care in the world as she balances on a wall. Olive trees sway and a bat swoops around in the strange evening light.
She hides at the sound of voices nearby. The farmers nearby are putting down their tools and heading home for the night. The flicker of tallow candles start to appear and windows far away.
What is she waiting for, the little sugar skull girl?  Fairy whispers tell her to go to the farm, but beware the humans, it is not yet time...
She visits the animals on the farm, high on the mountainside. The odor of fermenting grapes and woodsmoke permeate the air. The animals tell her their secrets one by one.

The forgotten caves in the hillside beckon and she scrambles down the rocky cliff as the gloaming intensifies. Willo-the-wisps dance around her feet before disappearing back into the dark ravine.
She can sense the ancient bones in the graveyard nearby. They are becoming restless, for tonight is their night and tomorrow they will be remembered by all.
A shriek nearby doesn't startle her, slowly she turns her head towards the sound and sees a fox scurrying back to its lair.  Another bat swoops by, closer this time as the darkness creeps in.
It is time to move on. The woodland creatures in the deep ravine are waking up. The bones in the graveyard are gathering energy. The sugar skull girl turns to leave the valley. She heads towards the sea where the Island of the Sirens float silently in the mist....waiting...
